Sebastian Vettel is getting very close to his second Drivers World Championship. If results go his way, he can win the title at Singapore. But he can't do it himself, he does need help from his rivals. Below is the mathematics on how the title can be won.
If Vettel wins -
Alonso must finish fourth or lower,
and Webber and Button need to finish third or lower.
If Vettel comes second -
Alonso cannot finish higher than eighth,
and Webber and Button cannot finish fifth or higher,
and Hamilton must finish second or lower.
If Vettel finishes in third -
Alonso can only finish in ninth, tenth, or out of the points.
Webber and Button can only finish seventh or lower,
and Hamilton cannot finish in the top two.
Overall then, it is fairly unlikely that Vettel wins the title next weekend, but anything is possible.
