2011's award for Test Driver Of The Year goes to Jean-Eric Vergne.
Jean-Eric has been by far the best test driver in F1 this year. When filling in for either Jamie Alguersuari, or Sebastien Buemi, the Frenchman has not disappointed. He has constantly pushed his team mate, and pushed his rival teams. His ability was seen at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver Tests. Here, he dominated all three days, setting the fastest times in his Red Bull. These kind of performances have all but confirmed that he will, one day, become an F1 driver. The question is when? He is currently in contention for a seat at Toro Rosso, and has been seen a future successor of Mark Webber at Toro Rosso. Only time will tell.
